I have to say we are not beach people so this was our first time to the Gulf and can I say it was incredible! Perfect location. A few chopping days but at least 3 great perfect weather beach days. After traveling to other destinations , we have returned to Summer Place, because of the beautiful beaches and easy excess to the many resturants, and friendly people. The master bed was like floating on a cloud. Having your own laundry facility+ Morewithin the condo is a definite plus. They also furnished all the kitchen supplies necessary, and the newer pots and pans were so nice. And the furniture was very comfortable. Jill was always quick to respond to any concerns. My husband booked this condo for us, his son and daughter-in-law and our 18mo old grandson to meet for Thanksgiving. Having a ground floor apartment meant that our grandson could go out on the "balcony" without it being too worrisome but the gate+ Morewas such that we didn't have to worry about him getting out and falling into the pool that was right outside the door. We could leave the doors open, hear the soothing sound of the ocean and relax. The beach was really just on the other side of the pool so this place had it all. The condo was lovely; contained everything we needed and allowed us to have a wonderfully relaxing vacation. I cannot recommend this condo enough. We only used two of the three bedrooms though our grandson liked to play in the small room with the bunk beds; when he's older we'll let him sleep there! Everything was very clean and well maintained. We were close to grocery stores, restaurants and could get anything that we needed or had forgotten. We took a short drive over to the zoo which was lots of fun for our grandson. The description was spot-on. I also want to add that the owner was very accomodating. We arrived several hours earlier than we'd planned and she went home to set a new code so that we could get in sooner. The only problem we had was that the dishwasher was not working and given that this was Thanksgiving, I spent more time washing dishes than I would have like. Last year we went to Panama City Beach and it was so packed with spring breakers that I+ Morewanted something that was more family oriented for this year. I've never stayed in a ground floor condo and I can honestly say that I don't know if I'd want to stay in anything that isn't ground floor now! We were totally spoiled! This condo is very clean and Management goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a good one. I saw dolphins from the beach on two different days! We have just returned from a wonderful vacation at this condo in Fort Walton Beach, FL. We had multiple families from TX, AL and PA that stayed in three condos next to each other on the first floor. We could walk right out to the pool and the beach+ Moreand could even relax in front of the condo with the monitor outside while the kids took a nap. All the beds slept great and the TV and kitchen ficilities were wonderful. Everything to do was within a 15 minute ride and we enjoyed some great shopping and seafood dinners. The water was so crystal clear that we could see the fish in it and the beach is still the wonderful white sand that only the FL Gulf has. Our balcony door broke from what seemed to be a long time issue of the door not being on the track properly. We called and were never charged and they even offered to fix it before we left. We had a wonderful week in this condo. We have stayed in several units here and each had some things we liked, but this one was perfect for us. We like the 3rd floor because it has a beautiful view. We drove to Ft Walton Beach from Kentucky, a 10 hour trip at best. So when we arrived at Island Sands, Unit 303, we were so happy and relieved to find all was as expected and more. All the amenities, and upgrades, style and view were there but the+ Morepart I couldn't see online was that the unit was spotless. Its evident that the cleaning personnel work very hard to make our stay worry free of what we couldn't see because everything from floor to ceiling that we could see was spotless. Thank you housekeeping staff! As it happens in any location where many guests visit, we had a few very small issues to bring to the attention of the Management. These issues were dealt with within an hour by the maintenance staff. We were very pleased by their prompt attention to our concerns. Mostly I think that we didn't know quite how to operate one issue. An explanation was left in writing on the counter. The staff had been granted our permission to enter the unit if we were not there. Loved that! We didn't have to wait for the minor repairs. Island Sands is a smaller complex with a homey feel without being old fashioned. I love the beachy colors of the exterior which was very well maintained. Our unit, 303 was the best I'm sure. On the top floor, the view was spectacular all hours of the day. With the sun moving left to right , rise and set, we had shade and sun on the roomy deck. The living room had two extra large sliding doors, in other words the whole wall was glass which gave us a view to die for even if you were just watching TV. Beach chairs with umbrellas were also a welcome plus provided to us complimentary. All in all, our stay was wonderful and worry free. Thank you for Unit 303 being all it was supposed to be and more! Our stay at the Island Princess met all our expectations. The unit was spacious, well furnished, and clean. The ocean view was amazing. We were literally steps from the beach! The location was great too. We were minutes from lots of restaurants and+ Moreshops in Ft. Walton Beach and Destin. My family (3 preteen children and husband) and my elderly parents had the pleasure of staying at Fosters on the Beach for the first week of June. Being able to stay on the first floor with a walkout couldn't have been more perfect for us. The+ Moreoutside porch allowed us to watch our girls swim in the pool as we sat in the shade. At the same time, my parents have difficulty walking; therefore, the close proximity of the pool and ocean allowed them to enjoy themselves too. We had a fabulous week long stay in Seacrest 505 at the end of May! Everything was just as the pictures show!! We especially loved all the places to plug our devices in every room, but our favorite thing was the Tommy Bahama beach chairs that+ Morereclined, had an awesome headrest and even straps to wear as a backpack for easier carrying!! We really enjoyed our time at 19 Gulfbreeze Court townhome. The value was great and the little hike to the jetties and setting amongst the dunes was really desirable for us. The neighborhood was friendly and safe. Having our own dog with us we could+ Morereally appreciate the pet friendliness of the area and all of the dogs! For a family of five being able to eat in was great- the kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of very close super markets and fresh seafood places - but not too close that you were bothered by commercial traffic.
